Built for families, safety first. Launching soon in South Wales.

Everything in one place

Friendship, made simple

Home education is a big adventure. Puddle helps you find the families who make it even better.

A profile that feels like you

Share what your family loves, your home-ed style and the ages you’d like to meet. No exact ages, names or addresses needed.

Families near you

See families within your travel time, and what you have in common, from age ranges to woodland walks.

Meetups, big and small

Park picnics, museum trips or online clubs. Make them public or invite-only, approve who joins and set the places.

Pin the families you click with

Keep a private shortlist of families you’d like to know. Only you can see who you’ve pinned.

Simple, friendly messaging

Say hello at your own pace, chat with everyone going to a meetup, and share contact details only when you’re ready.

Safety built in

Everyone agrees to our community guidelines before chatting. Block or report anyone, anytime. They’re never told.

How Puddle works

  1. 1

    Create your family profile

A few friendly questions about what you’re hoping to find, what your family enjoys and where you’re based.

  2. 2

    Find families who click

Browse families nearby, see what you share, pin your favourites and say hello when it feels right.

  3. 3

    Meet up and make memories

Join or host a meetup, from a muddy forest walk to a museum morning, and watch friendships grow.

Little connections.
Big adventures.

A wave at the park becomes a weekly walk. A shared love of dinosaurs becomes a museum trip. That’s Puddle.

Safety first, always

A friendly space, by design

We built Puddle for families, so safety isn’t an add-on. It’s part of every conversation and every meetup.

How we keep families safe
  • Agreed guidelines

Everyone agrees to our community guidelines before they can message.

  • Private by default

Age ranges, not ages. Areas, not addresses. Pins only you can see.

  • Block and report

Block anyone at any time, or report them to our team. They’re never told.

  • Meeting safely

Public places first, children with their grown-ups, always.

Questions, answered

Who is Puddle for?

Puddle is for home-educating families, and families thinking about home education, who’d like to find friends for their children and themselves. Accounts are for parents and carers.

Where is Puddle available?

We’re starting in South Wales, from Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan to Swansea, Newport and the valleys, with more areas to come.

Do I have to share my address or my children’s details?

No. You choose an area and how far you’ll travel, and share age ranges rather than exact ages. Meetup addresses are only shown to families who are going.

How do you keep families safe?

Everyone agrees to our community guidelines at the start of every conversation, and to meeting-safely steps before in-person meetups. You can block or report anyone, and our team reviews every report.

Can I organise my own meetups?

Yes. Create a one-off meetup in person or online, choose who can see it, approve who joins, limit the places and chat with everyone going.
